Selected Publications

3DS work resulted in 2022 in a total of 5 book chapters and 69 papers indexed to the Web of Science, with an average impact factor of 4.945. From these, 42% were published in journals in the 1st quartile of the JCR journal ranking (4 in the top decile). One national patent was granted. One student was awarded with a PhD FCT fellowships and three others finished the PhD degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Fourteen students were awarded with Msc degree.

Justification: In this work were discovered novel candidate anticancer agents with high in vitro efficacy.

Justification: In this work were discovered novel inhibitors of the membrane-bound Catechol-O-methyltransferase (a drug target in Parkinsion’s Disease).

Justification: In this work were identified using volatilomics the potential biomarkers of female infertility.

Justification: In this work were developed novel efficient delivery strategy (intranasal nanosystem) for the antiepileptic perampanel.
