The University of Beira Interior (UBI) hosts a wide-ranging debate over Engineering in December, which will have the contribution of professionals and researchers from various countries. "A Vision for the Future" is this year motto.
With the institutional support of the Order of Engineers, the Faculty of Engineering receives an event that proposes to disseminate the contribution and interest of Engineering to society and to make a preview of the common future of its aspects. "At the same time, we intend to foster contact between researchers and professionals from different areas of Engineering and enable the dissemination of their research, innovation and development activities among the various sectors of economic activity," according to the organization.
This year's edition maintains the dynamics and depth of the program, which proposes an intense debate around Engineering issues. There are four lectures and 38 parallel sessions, where the 168 accepted papers will be discussed. ICEUBI2017 attracted a great deal of international interest and received proposals from 194 articles from 452 authors and co-authors from 42 universities in Brazil, Algeria, Spain, Poland, Turkey, Angola, Mozambique, Australia, France and Hungary; seven national polytechnical institutes; three public institutes in Portugal and Cape Verde; and 10 Research Centers.
The start of the Congress is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on December 4, with the reception to the participants, which precedes the 1st Engineering Networking Meeting, for the participants of the event. The Opening Session is the next day at 10:45.
