Learning outcomes This course aims to enable the student, under supervision (s) supervisor (s), develop every phase of the theoretical framework and fieldwork related to their thesis project, initiating the disclosure of the results.
1. Demonstrate skills, knowledge and skills for independent practice of scientific research in the field of Sports Sciences;
2. Demonstrate writing skills and presentation of results to the scientific community.
Syllabus 1. Labour tutorial on developing the thesis project focusing on phases of the theoretical framework, methodology and fieldwork.
2. Initiation to writing and science communication to present the first results in journals with peer review, conferences or specialty.
Main Bibliography • Bibliography according to the selected theme designated by (s) supervisor (s) of work, and Advisory Board.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria At this stage of the process, the contact between the student and the counselor (s) will be privileged, allowing the student to develop his / her doctoral work, which is why the teaching methodologies (tutorial orientation) reflect this situation.
During the elaboration of the thesis there were also moments of academic involvement among all the students, so it was established that at the end of the 2nd year of the study cycle the students had to present the work developed before a jury appointed by the Scientific Committee of Course (Counseling Committee), which will evaluate if the student is fulfilling the work program, allowing the transition to the 3rd year of the course. It was also implemented the presentation and discussion of the work developed, with the presence of fellow students and other 3rd cycle students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, on a regular basis throughout the process of elaboration of the thesis, highlighting the presentation at the end of the
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
