Learning outcomes Understand and interpret the importance of sport as a social phenomenon as well as the main positive and negative contributions of sport in today's society.
• Demonstrate knowledge and ability to deport understanding of how social and cultural phenomenon, as well as on the role of sport in economic and social development and its impact on culture and vice versa • Demonstrate understanding of the role of sport in socialization processes • identify the social effects of youth participation in sport • Demonstrate the ability to analyze the phenomenon of violence in sport • Demonstrate ability to analyze the relationship of gender and ethnicity with the sport • Demonstrate understanding of the relationship between economics, politics, religion and media in sport
