Code 11523
Year 1
Semester S1
ECTS Credits 6
Workload OT(15H)
Scientific area Informatics
Entry requirements Students must have ground knowledge on biosignal processing algorithms, computer programming and software engineering.
Learning outcomes Main objectives consist of the study, development and application of collection methodologies, storage and application of algorithms on biosignals with the purpose of using this knowledge in Enhanced Living Environments.

At the end of this Curricular Unit, the student should be able to understand, develop and apply algorithms and fundamental mechanisms in the area of Enhanced Living Environments.
Syllabus Definition and concepts on biosignal; protocols for biosignal collection; ethical issues; informed consent; algorithms to collect and process biosignal; transmission of biosignal; security and reliability of the transmission of biosignal; advanced algorithms for biosignal processing; identification of daily life activities; biosignal activated interfaces.
