Learning outcomes This course aims to train students for scientific procedures. We will discuss epistemological issues in the first place; the obstacles to knowledge and the indispensable mechanisms for the development of scientific praxis. Secondly, we will identify the steps necessary to plan and execute academic work. We will place emphasis on reflections that allow a rigorous look at the communicative field.
Syllabus I. Episteme
- The problem of knowledge
- The challenges of a scientific action
- The formation of social sciences; history of ideas and method (s) for the communicative field.
II. Doxa
- The traps of (pseudo) knowledge; the risk of plausibility.
- The importance of reflexivity for scientific action. The "decontamination" process.
III.Praxis

1. How to configure the relevance of a study problem? (reflect on feasibility)
2. What questions do I have about this problem? (the challenge of the starting point).
3. Where do I want to go with the study? (setting objectives for knowledge)
4. What is the degree of complexity of what we have in our hands? (the challenge of problematization)
5. And now, what do I do with all this conceptual discussion? (analysis model and operation of the study)
6. How can I apprehend reality? (draw the methodological approach, think the method (s) and the appropriate technique (s) for the collection of information).
7. How do I treat the information collected? (systematization, analysis and presentation of results).
8. How do I finish my work? (topics for a final thought).
9. References bibliographies and formatting of academic works.
