Learning outcomes to promot the reflexion upon concepts, authors, theories and orientations of geopolitic and strategic though. To discuss the main geopolitic questions and its reprecussions at global level, through the critical presentation of thematic literature and other sources of information.

Upon successful completion of the module, the student is able to:
Understand the main theoretical and empirical principles of geopolitics and strategic.
Recognize the roll of strategic and geopolitics in multidimensions decisions.
Analyze contemporary issues that are on international agenda.
Syllabus I. Concepts: Geopolitics, Political Geography, Geostrategic, Strategic. Aims, Perspectives, Methods; Orientations and Paradigms.
II. Theories and concepts of Traditional Geopolitics: authors of land power, sea power, and air power.
III. New Geopolitics: news aims and approaches. Realistic Geopolitics. New Concepts: Ecopolitic. Demopolitic. Geo-economics. New Geopolitics of Peace.
IV. Conceptual framework of Strategic: relation between politic, strategic and tactics. Fields and Divisions of Strategic.
V. Introduction to Polemologie. The war and its evolution.
Concepts. Origins and causes of war.
