Learning outcomes	The course is organized in five topics. At the end of the course, the student should be able to: 1. Understand the specific characteristics of the Portuguese political system, through its classification and framing in comparative terms. 2. Identify and understand the various subsystems of the Portuguese political system, identifying the correlation between them and the degrees of the respective operating dependence. 3. Analyze the functioning of the Portuguese political system after the revolution of April 1974, identifying the constitutional powers and concrete political practice. 4. Understand the impact of the political system and its possible changes in the functioning of democracy. 5. Analyze the different proposed changes to the political system and its subsystems in the national policy framework.
