Learning outcomes O1. Discuss the role of physical exercise in healthy aging models;
O2. Understand the bio-psycho-social changes inherent to the aging process;
O3. Understand the physiological changes resulting from aging and their implications for exercise guidance and prescription;
O4. Identify the main components of functional physical fitness and understand their importance in maintaining the autonomy and independence of the elderly
O5. Demonstrate the ability to select and critically use functional physical fitness and health assessment methodologies.
O6. Know and master the essential components of exercise programs for the elderly.
O7. Demonstrate the ability to prescribe, guide and control training sessions for elderly people according to their limitations.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The classes are theoretical and theoretical-practical classes, combining the research, exposition and discussion to the application of contents in the accomplishment of reports of physical exercise assessment and orientation to the elderly. It is intended to create a learning environment applied to the problems of exercise and aging, using practical classes of exercise training for the elderly
