Learning outcomes The objective of the UC is to provide the student with operational tools that allow him or her to organize specific plans in the context of Physical Education or School Sport classes that meet the specific and individual needs of students with special educational needs.

Thus, at the conclusion of the UC the student must have acquired the following learning outcomes:
1. Define, classify and characterize the different types of special educational needs and their implications for Physical Education classes;
2. Understand the different cognitive and motor developments that each individual presents;
3. Plan and develop specific content according to special educational needs;
4. To know how to be and intervene, in Pedagogical Practice, with people with Intellectual, Visual, Hearing, Physics and Multideficiency Disabilities, within the scope of Physical Education;
5. Present strategies for the inclusion of students with special educational needs, in a classroom environment.
Syllabus 1. Introduction to adapted physical activity in a school context
1.1. Historical evolution of the concepts around the person with disability.
1.2. Rationale, general concepts and definitions in the context of adapted physical education
2. Special Educational Needs
2.1. Definition, Classification and incidence
2.2. Different cognitive and motor developments
2.3. Definition of intellectual disability, causes and characteristics on a physical, emotional and social level. Practical aspects for the teaching of physical activities.
2.4. Approach to different types of motor deficiency -
2.5. Visual and auditory deficiencies - pedagogical intervention and strategies of action in the context of Physical Education teaching.
3. Development of specific programs that meet specific needs, in the scope of Physical Education Teaching
4. Pedagogical intervention and strategies in populations with special educational needs.
