Learning outcomes |
Understanding two-dimensional drawing capacity to support industrial design projects. Understanding drawing techniques. Use of computer applications and digital tools in digital drawing. Apprehension and deepening of specific techniques of digital drawing. Adequacy of the drawing technics to the project approach. Application of knowledge in the project context.

Syllabus |
Introduction to the basic rules of two-dimensional graphic representation of products: Perspective, light and shadow, structure, contour and volume, surface, visual texture, shape and composition. Graphic development and follow-up of the projects launched in the discipline of DP1. Development of two exercises - short term digital support drawing.
Exercise 1 - Lighting + Toy - Digital support drawing in the context of the project launched in the course Design de produto 1 (DP1). Exercise 2 - Chairs - drawing in digital support. Exercise 3 - Small scale objects (glass and/or metal) - Drawing in digital support.
Contents in context. Rotating individual supervision.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Introduction to the working area, analysis of product design examples. Introduction to design software and fundamental potentialities.
Delivery in high quality PDF single document. File with name: NomedoAluno DD Numero Exercício. Title document cover, student, date, subject and teacher. Mandatory at the beginning of the class defined, 30 minutes tolerance. 50% penalty for delay. Not accepted from the end of the delivery class.
No unaccompanied work is accepted in class. All deliveries are compulsory on the date set. Failure of any delivery is eliminatory. Discipline without examination or possibility of improvement. Admission tolerance of 20 minutes. If the limit of five unjustified absences is exceeded, the student is failed. Student workers: if they are unable to attend class hours, they are obliged to arrange an alternative time in advance for the presentation of their work.
