Learning outcomes 1 – To Know how to determine the stability of forces in structural components due to static forces;
2 - To understand the deformation mechanisms of these components when subjected to several forces either
separately or jointly, in order to acquire the ability to proceed its dimensioning;
3 - To analyze and solve hyper-static problems.
Syllabus Static of rigid bodies; Equivalent systems of forces; Equilibrium of rigid bodies; Structural analysis; Distributed forces; Moments of inertia; Concept of stress; Stress and deflection under axial loading; Torsion; Bending; Maximum stress and yield criteria; Mohr's circle; Beams deflection.
