Learning outcomes	1) Understand research in the arts as a process of knowledge production. 2) Understand the "creative process" as a fundamental theme of research in the arts, identifying the problems it involves. 3) Understand the "creativity of the process" of research practice through film about art/artists.
Syllabus	1. Artistic research: institutional context. 1.1 Artistic research VS artistic creation. Research paradigms. 2. The creative process 2.1 The act of creation. 2.2 From genetic criticism to process criticism: Cecília Salles 3. The creativity of the process 3.1 Films about art/artists. 4. Preparation of an essay that relates texts about the creative process and a film about art/artist.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria	In class, texts previously read by students are reread and discussed. The assessment consists of preparing a written essay, presented in class, that discusses a film about art/artists.
