Learning outcomes To understand, analyze and use the language of the moving image; to investigate and experiment with the technology and the narrative strategies of contemporary audiovisual production; to develop creativity and critical thinking in the production of videographic work of interdisciplinary character.
By the end of this course, students will be able to: demonstrate and use the fundamentals of the language of the moving image, both technically and conceptually; plan and perform original videographic work with an interdisciplinary perspective.
Syllabus Origins and history of the moving image; study and analysis of the moving image; fundamentals/units of the audiovisual language; film editing and post-production; Chromakey laboratory; documentaries and docufiction; cinema and narrative advertising, TV spots; expanded cinema. Development of individual and/or group projects: schedule of projects in the various phases: concepts, objectives, prototypes/tests, production, post-production and public exhibition/presentation.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria The pedagogical activities and methodologies are divided as follows: theoretical lectures with examples and discussion of practical cases, group/individual development of projects (Project based learning), labs and discussion seminars.
The evaluation is continuous and will be based on student participation in seminars, development, evolution and presentation of group/individual projects, aesthetic and technical quality of the work as well as creativity.
