Entry requirements It is recommended the previous frequency of the following subjects: "Hydraulics I", "Hydraulics II", "Hydrology" and "Water Supply and Drainage".
Learning outcomes Objective:
Address concepts related to water management and pollution control in urban areas, as well as the design, construction, operation and rehabilitation of facilities and structures for the treatment of water, wastewater and rainwater and for the management of solid waste, including management and valuation aspects.

Skills:
1) Recognition and understanding of integrated water management in urban areas, characteristics and methods of water treatment for public supply and techniques for controlling rainwater discharges in water environments;
2) Domain of the design, implementation and operation evaluation of wastewater treatment facilities;
3) Recognition of the type of solid waste and understanding of its physical characteristics, operations and processes for its recovery, treatment and containment and the design of integrated systems for its management.
Syllabus 1. WATER MANAGEMENT IN URBAN AREAS
Sustainable water management in urban areas. Water treatment for public supply. Quality standards and objectives. Control of rainwater discharge.

2. WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILITIES
