Learning outcomes |
The curricular unit Geometry and Representation I aims to: a) The historical framework of geometry as the origin and possibility of architecture; b) The framing of geometry as an intuitive and systemic origin of the structuring of mental space in architectural design; c) The development of cognitive capacities for spatial geometry and form generation; d) The ability to understand plane and three-dimensional geometric operations as a system of mediation and representation of architectural space. At the end of the semester, students should be able to understand the regular geometry in the design conception.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
The assessment is continuous and presupposes active participation in classes, which will operate in a regime of Theoretical-Practical and Practical-Laboratory classes, the first being classes for the presentation of content and clarification of doubts and the second classes for practical exercises. This evaluation is phased in two stages: One individual exercise and a team work exercise.
