Learning outcomes |
This course general goals are to dominate the notion of logical validity, the processes of formalization from natural language, both in syllogistic and in propositional calculus, and some inference training.
At the end of the Curricular Unity course, students should be able to: • Basics – Distinguish validity and true, good and fallacious arguments, forms of validity • Scientifics – Understand theoretically the rules of propositional calculus and the rules of syllogistic • Operational – Perform propositional calculus; build well-formed syllogisms; identify fallacious arguments; clarify the logical structure of sentences of natural language • Cross outcomes - undertake logic discussion of arguments, developing argumentative consistency
