English Version
Research Fellowship for student of Master's study cycle leading to a Master's degree in Air Transport Operations
A call is open for the allocation of one BII Initiation Research Fellowship, within the Research Project titled The Socio-Economic Impact of Electric Aircraft (SEI-Air), funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), IP/MCTES, through national funds (PIDDAC) and the scope of “Verão com Ciência" special support, taking place at the R&D unit 50022, Laboratório Associado em Energia, Transportes e Aeronáutica (LAETA) of the University of Beira Interior.
Research Field
Air Transport Operations.
Objectives
To investigate the implications of the electrification of the air transport industry and analyse its socioeconomic impact, focusing particularly on lithium mining. The focus is on validating how aligned the electrification of the air transport industry is with the motives which drive it, and in to understand the socioeconomic impact that the aggravated lithium mining triggered by this agenda will have on direct and indirect stakeholders.
Work plan
Sub-tasks to be covered by scholarship: to study the impact of lithium mineral extraction.
Requirements for admission and hiring
To be enrolled in a Master's study cycle leading to a Master's degree in Air Transport Operations; the proof of enrolment in the 2nd study cycle must be submitted by the time the scholarship is contracted.
