Learning outcomes |
The students are to acquire knowledge, skills and necessary attitudes to embrace the more common health problems in General Practice learning and understanding Ethics, Patient centered Medicine, Empathy and Enablement. The activities will be held in the Faculty and in community health surgeries, with particular interest on classifying according to the ICPC2.

Syllabus |
Child Health: follow-up and observation / clinical examination of the normal child. Infant feeding. Planning of food diversification. Compulsory and optional immunizations for a child. Locomotor System Pathologies: Signs and symptoms, risk factors, preventive attitudes, complementary diagnostic tests, referral and therapeutic criteria. Neurological pathology in the environment of General and Family Medicine. Dementias: epidemiology, clinical, risk factors, preventive attitudes, differential diagnosis between dementias and depressive syndromes, complementary diagnostic tests, reference and therapeutic criteria. Consultation in the environment of General and Family Medicine according to the SOAP method. ICPC2 classification: what it is for, what it serves. Person Centered Medicine: how to evaluate its achievement and what its consequences on health. Medical empathy: what it is, its determinants and consequences in population and medical health.
