Learning outcomes To obtain the knowledge necessary to guide the development, the selection or the administration of information systems appropriate to the company. To establish the dialogue with managers in order to avoid mistakes in investment, and thus, ensure the successful use of IS/IT in organizations. At the end of the curricular unit the student should be able to:
1) Understand the terms, concepts, principles and methodologies associated with the development and use of IS/IT in organizations;
- Know the different types of information systems and their function;
- Analyze situations using IS/IT, proposing a set of solutions and choosing the best one.
Syllabus Information management; introduction of IS in organizations.
Types of Information Systems; evolution of information systems.
Functions of Information Systems.
Integrated Information Systems - ERP.
Strategic use of IS / IT; use of IS in health.
Investment analysis in IS / IT; factors of success/failure.
Integration of Information Systems.
Management of Information Systems.
