Learning outcomes |
According to the Curriculum of Instituto Cervantes, the objective of the course is to develop the communicative competence, with an emphasis at the nature of the students as social agents. This course will provide a lexical corpus and grammar structures to allow the students having communicative exchanges, aswell as giving and receiving information in spanish.
This course also provides tools to understand the intercultural nature of the foreign language students, departing from the social function of languages. It also attempt to improve the skills of the students as autonomus learner.

Syllabus |
- Foods: preferences, weights, dimmensions, tools, récipes, typical food of Spain and South America. Communicative situations at the restaurant or the pub.
- The imperative and the impersonal se.
- Professions: skills and knowledges. The present continuous.
- The past I: pretérito imperfecto (regular and irregular verbs), pretérito indefinido. Uses and discoursive connectors
- The body and its parts: health and disease
- The city: transports, services, accommodation, planes, etc. Communicative situations at trips and travels. The ecosystem, the weather, free time activities. Comparative and
valorative structures.
- The future: el futuro próximo, wishes, hopes and desires.
- The house: types, rooms, fornitures, preferences. The prepositions.
- Regular and irregular imperatives.
- Asking and providing directions.
- The past II: pretérito indefinido, pretérito imperfecto and pretérito perfecto. Uses and connectors. Description of past events, habits, and historical events.
