Learning outcomes At the end of the course unit the student should:
- Identify a theory of a filmmaker and a research in history, aesthetics and film theory
- Identify thematic universes and stylistic marks in the work of a filmmaker
- To confront the discourse of the filmmakers with work accomplished
- Building the theory of a cinema from its filmography and other documentation
- Apply a theory of one or more filmmakers in different contexts different from their original conception
Syllabus 1- Concepts: filmmaker, theory, art.
2- Filmmaker's theory: historical and theoretical approachs.
3- Elaborate a methodology to study cinema from filmmaker's perscpective.
