Learning outcomes |
The 4th year of General and Family Medicine UC is part of the general context of transversal learning of themes related to General and Family Medicine. This UC aims to: - Enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to address the surveillance of the development of the normal child and the clinical approach to the most common problems of childhood. - Enable students to acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to address surveillance of low-risk pregnant women and family planning counseling. - Allow students to acquire the necessary skills to carry out a person-centered consultation according to the 7-Step Consultation model. - Allow students to learn how to register in a consultation through appropriate SOAP and ICPC-2 annotations. - Allow students to acquire communication skills with the person. - Allow students to contact the concepts of Person-Centered Medicine, Empathy, Training through consultation, Nutrition and Physical Activity and Brief

Syllabus |
1. Consultation of General and Family Medicine according to the 7-step consultation method. 2. SOAP notes and registration. 3. ICPC2 classification: what it is for, how it is done. 4. Child Health: follow-up and observation / clinical examination of the normal child; infant feeding; food diversification planning; mandatory and optional immunizations for a child. 5. Reproductive health and family planning, contraception and low-risk pregnancy surveillance concepts. 6. Health Communication, Ethics of Small Things, Person-Centered Medicine, Medical Empathy and Training for consultation. 7. Nutrition and Physical Activity. 8. Smoking. Prevention and Therapeutics.
