In Introduction to Research, the different stages of the scientific method will be addressed, problems approachable by investigation, review of relevant bibliography, computer and bibliographic resources including information management, hypotheses to be tested in research, quantitative and qualitative methodologies, rules on the dissertation of Master's at UBI, different levels of research, Basic, Translational, Clinical, information; monograph, systematic review, meta-analysis, development of research projects, research strategies, health research environment at UBI, Portugal and Europe.
The student can opt for a laboratory research module or a clinical module, lasting 1 week. The laboratory research modules and the clinical modules will address the syllabus taught in the Curricular Units of the 3rd year of the Course in an integrated manner.
