Learning outcomes To provide advanced training, competences and ability to develop research in the field of environmentally sustainable new materials, in civil engineering.
a) Understanding current methodology of research for the development of environmentally sustainable new materials;
b) Mastery in study and optimization of microstructure of environmentally sustainable materials, of its physical properties and durability performance.
Syllabus 1. Research in the development of environmentally sustainable new materials; namely, minimizing the use of raw materials, contributing for energy saving, having low emissions, contributing to pollution control, having high durability performance, incorporating demolition and construction materials and industrial wastes.
2. Study and microstructure optimization of environmentally sustainable new materials, its physical properties and durability performance.
