This curricular unit allows the student to prepare a bibliographic review on the subject to study and defining the objectives, working methods and schedule for his Work Plan for the Doctoral Thesis. At the end of the semester, he must submit a report with the objectives, framing and justification of the theme, experimental plan, work methods, work schedule and bibliographic references. The work is presented orally and evaluated by a Jury, appointed by the Scientific Committee of the Course, according to the stipulated in the Internal Regulation of the 3rd Cycle in Civil Engineering.
Skills:
1 - Understanding the subject to be investigated and the research methods associated with the development of the thesis.
2 - Domain of the state of the art for the doctoral theme that will develop.
