The expertise in Biomedicine and Biotechnology research and the participation in European and non-European research networks have sustained knowledge transfer and gathered the international recognition of CICS-UBI. The development of methods and products, such as drugs, biopharmaceuticals and biomaterials with diagnostic and therapeutic applications, have been the basis for the registration of patents and establishment of agreements, protocols and partnerships with national and international pharmaceutical and R&D companies.
