CICS-UBI researchers’ benefit from a set of facilities, encompassing an area of 1830 m2, that bring together in the same unit basic, applied and translational perspectives of biomedical research. CICS-UBI facilities are part of the Portuguese Roadmap of infrastructures, namely, the fluorescence microscopy and the nuclear magnetic resonance. Other important core structures include the Cell Culture and Animal Facilities, and the Cytometry, Physiology, Chromatography, Microbiology, Proteomics, Microcalorimetry, Organic Synthesis, and Pharmaceutical Technology Laboratories.
The modern equipment transversal to different areas of biomedical research enables molecular and cellular approaches, animal experimentation and preclinical studies in the most refined conditions.
