Profile of the programme The 2.º Cycle in Education of Philosophy in Secondary School is destined to confer the professional qualification for the teaching of Philosophy in Secondary School.
This cycle of studies aims at the acquisition/consolidation/incorporation of scientific, pedagogical and deontological abilities necessary to the exercise of the teaching function in Teaching of the Philosophy, aiming an adjusted formation, capable to answer to the diverse challenges of the school reality.

Key learning outcomes - To endow the student with scientific, methodologic and didactic instruments that allow him to promote a qualified education, adjusted, capable to produce significative learning.
- To incorporate the scientific-pedagogical component in the professional practice.
- To stimulate the development of a professional with adequate profile that, having in account the guidelines of the National Educative Politics and the contributs of the Educational Inquiry, either capable of adapting it to the social, cultural that pertains to school contexts where it acts, in the respect for the inherent deontological requirements to teaching.
- To foment the understanding of the teaching as a global and integrated activity, reflecting on the participation in the school and the relation with the community.
- To detach the importance of the professional development throughout the life, being founded in a project of permanent capable formation.

Learning facilities 1. Classrooms equipped with audiovisuels, reserved room of didactic materials, spaces for: tutorial education, individual study and working groups.
2. Laboratories of computer science modernly equipped.
3. Central library.
4. Center of Resources of Education and Learning.
5. Services of CIUBI: accounts of access, electronic post office, personal area, lodging of pages web, net wireless, platform of e-learning, printing, access VPN, solutions of software, administration of domains, among others.
6. Institute of Practical Philosophy.
7. Secondary schools with protocol signed with the UBI for accomplishment of pedagogical training.
