Syllabus |
1. Introduction to Probability Theory: Independence and conditioning; Binomial, Hypergeometric, Geometric, Poisson, Normal distributions; moments and the Central Limit Theorem. 2. Introduction to Statistical Inference: estimation by the method of moments; properties of estimators, confidence intervals; hypothesis testing.
