Learning outcomes |
Objectives: introduce the study of Social Psychology, considering two main areas: Social Cognition and Influence Processes; show the interconnection with other areas of psychology and demonstrate its instrumental value to settle psychological interventions. The aim is also to ensure a continuity with UC Social Psychology II, which completes the study of the processes of influence and ensure the study of processes of relation. Skills: after the study of this UC, students will be able to: a) Describe and explain the processes of social cognition; b) Describe and explain the major social influence processes, such as persuasion; c) Discuss the research data that support the knowledge about the processes of cognition and influence; d) Justify psychosocial interventions, with reference to the knowledge about the processes of cognition and influence.
