Learning outcomes . To characterize some of the most influential perspectives on Aesthetics in the horizon of criticism;
. Be able to evaluate, in the context of relationships with privileged interlocutors, controversial issues and problems within the scope of Aesthetics;
. Identify, analyze and understand the fundamental texts of Aesthetics in the horizon of criticism and issues related to the subject of criticism against Aesthetics;
. To substantiate the interest in reflection on themes of intersection between Aesthetics and Architecture.

Syllabus I. Aesthetic as worldview: Aesthetics on the horizon of Criticism

a) The rehabilitation of the sensitive as theme for Aesthetics;
b) The "enigma" of beauty; science and beauty: the end of the ideal of an objectivity of taste;

II. Criticism on the horizon of Aesthetics: the "excesses" of Aesthetics and their effects

a) Can the aestheticization of the world provoke an effective diminution of critical consciousness? In a situation of "exceeding of communication", what effects can an anesthetic have on the dynamics and flow of information and communication?
