Learning outcomes Provide an overview of practical knowledge for designers of Electrotechnology and Lighting Technology including: Electrical energy system (Production, transport and distribution), electrical technology and electrical materials, analysis of electrical circuits in direct current and alternating current, safety rules for the use of electric energy, efficiency of an electrical device, properties of light, Artificial light production technologies and the legal requirements for artificial lighting.

3. Electrical Circuits: components and Symbology.
4. Analysis of Direct Current Circuits
5. Analysis of Alternating Current Circuits
6. Energy Efficiency: Energy Input-Output of Domestic Equipment
7. Risks and Safety in Electrical Equipment: Electrical Protection.
8. Ambient classification of electric energy use locations and legal requirements for the electric equipment.
9. The nature of light.
10 Photometry.
11. Lighting. Types of lamps and armatures: main features and applications.
12. Lighting calculation and lighting design
