Learning outcomes 1-To know, identify and select tables measures of national and international fashion brands. Systematize the
advantages and disadvantages of each market.
2-Understanding not only of the technical and constructive specificities of pattern making and sewing
manufacturing processes of simple clothing pieces, but also of the experimental potential, intuitive and emotional
of the same.
3-Be able to produce by hand the base and complementary patterns and sewing manufacturing processes
associated with different pieces of clothing.
4-Develop capabilities to understand and solve problems associated with the production of simples pieces of
clothing in a multidisciplinary context.
5 -Acquire skills for the development and transformation patterns in 2D and 3D (draping) of clothing pieces and
sewing this pieces of clothing
Syllabus Module 1 - Pattern making II
1. Measuring tables of national and international fashion brands. Comparative analysis.
2. Pattern development and transformation of 2D and 3D base garments:
2.1.Patterns of pants for women, men and children
2.2.Patterns of shirt for women, men and children
2.3.Dart Manipulation; Added fullness; pleats, tuck-darts, flares and gathers
2.4.Yokes, flanges, pin tucks and pleat tucks
3. Collars, built-up necklines, cowls and sleeves
4. Final patterns of shirt and pants for manufacturing in sewing lab
5. Draping: Techniques and development conceptual pieces

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Active and cooperative teaching-learning methodologies were adapted that encourage reflection and value processes of a cognitive and interpersonal nature, defending the acquisition of concepts, problem solving, research, and practical work carried out in PL classes, centered on student and face-to-face.
The final grade at the end of the Teaching-Learning period is calculated as follows:
35% Med. Class. Patternmaking Exer. +32.5% Avg. Class. Sewing Exer. +12.5% Research work +10% Technical Dossier + 10% Punctuality and Attendance
The student must have a minimum score of 6 values in Module 1 (Patternmaking) and 6 values in Module 2 (Sewing), for admission to the exam, with the obligation to deliver all the proposed works.
If in the Teaching-Learning Classification:
Module 1 Score (Patternmaking) or Module 2 Score (Sewing) < 6 - Not Admitted to Exam
The student will be exempted from the Exam, if the final grade of teaching-learning period is greater than or equal to 10 values - Approved.
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
