Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria In the lectures is adopted predominantly expository and inductive method by presenting practical cases and cases of everyday problem, beyond the theoretical content. In practical classes students independently construct individual dossier by solving exercises, under the supervision of teachers, through consultation of bibliography for this purpose. In the laboratory students apply the knowledge acquired in lectures and in the theoretical and practical. To this end, students are asked to develop an experimental laboratory work, according to specific test standards. The evaluation is performed with an individual written test covering theoretical and practical issues, developing a portfolio of individual problem solving, an experimental laboratory work and also a work project which consists of a practical case study of choice and application of materials, based on technical criteria, in group, with presentation and discussion.
Language Portuguese. Tutorial support is available in English.
