Learning outcomes This curricular unit is designed to develop knowledge about personality conceptualization and knowledge about methodologies used to investigate and evaluate personality.
At the end of this curricular unit, student should be able to:
- Compare and describe personality conceptualizations; Describe and explain different theoretical models of personality; Differentiate between the methodologies used to investigate and evaluate personality by listing the strengths and weaknesses of each approach to measurement; Synthesize scientific literature for the integration and application of knowledge and Communicate ideas, problems and solutions, resulting from the activities of analysis, synthesis and reflection carried out individually and in group.

2.Objectives of personality psychology.
3. Research methods in personality psychology.
II. Personality and other psychological dimensions.
III. Theories of personality.
1. Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic perspectives.
2. Traits theory
3. Big five model.
4. Humanist perspective.
5. Cognitive perspective.

Theoretical contact sessions: lecture.
Theoretical-practical contact sessions: search, review and analysis of scientific literature; individual and group analysis of theoretical and theoretical-practical documents; individual and group analysis of case studies; lesson planning and presentation
Evaluation strategies: Individual tests for theoretical knowledge evaluation; Group works; Written theoretical-practical assignments carried out under independent work.
