Learning outcomes The curriculum unit Globalization and Development focuses on the analytical and critical study of the phenomenon of globalization and the structural issues of development in the contemporary world. In this framework of analyzing the major economic and technological upheavals, structural differences between people from different regions, access to means, available resources and other important issues are considered. Present concepts and theories in the area of Globalization Studies. Reflect critically on the processes of globalization and the challenges of global development. Identify the institutions and policies of global development. Characterize the interdependencies and interactions between globalization and national politics. Discuss the global economic, social, and political issues of the 21st century.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Theoretical-practical sessions, where practical cases will be presented, simulation exercises will be performed and students' participation will be encouraged, based on previously selected texts.
