Learning outcomes The question "What is technique?" does not have to claim an immediate answer; on the contrary, it invites us to assume the inquiring bid in which the question is played. In this sense, this course aims to stimulate the practice of philosophical questioning, through a fundamental theme of philosophy. At the end of the UC, the student should be able to: (i) identify issues concerning technique; (ii) explain the fundamental elements of the studied perspectives; (iii) discuss answers to the question "What is technique?"; (iv) problematize technique.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Methodologically, the curricular unit is taught under a plural approach to the basic philosophical question - What is technique? -, for which a previously informed perspective is introduced by each participating teacher, with a pertinent bibliographic indication. Each module presupposes the prior reading of the respective bibliographical reference, on the basis of which a dynamic debate of the philosophical question is carried out.
The evaluation is composed of a written test of open answer to the question of the Curricular Unit (with weight 70% in the final classification) followed by an oral defence in a class context, in the presence of a jury constituted from the teaching staff (30% of the classification).
