Learning outcomes |
This course aims to provide the fundamental knowledge in the following areas: health, safety and health at work and in certification quality management of systems.
At the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Apply hygiene and safety standards in carrying out the work to protect their health and the work environment
- Apply appropriate techniques for handling the biological agents, radioactive chemical and physical, according to industrial hygiene standards
- Identify the causes and consequences of accidents at work
- Select the IPE based on the characteristics of users, the nature of the risks and types of work
- Know the vocabulary and quality language
- Know the importance of management by process in an Organization
- Describe, implement and interpret the purpose of a Quality Management System and its role in the institutions

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Teaching in this UC will be structured in classroom classes: theoretical and theoretical-practical. In the theoretical classes, which will be taught with the help of audiovisual media, the presentation of the material will be carried out and the discussion of the themes developed according to the program will be promoted. In theoretical-practical classes, knowledge is applied through problem solving.
Conducting a group seminar on certification of quality management systems, solving a real case.
The assessment will tend to be continuous, taking into account two parameters: written tests and group work (max. Two students)
