O ciclo de vida dos produtos de design de moda e marcas associadas à sustentabilidade. O processo de desenvolvimento de produto e produção e metodologias que encaminham a uma abordagem sustentável. Learning outcomes 1) Internalize, know and understand the fundamentals, concepts, objectives and the importance of sustainability
applied to ITV and fashion products throughout the product's life cycle;
2) To develop a modern vision applied to fashion products, satisfying parameters of quality, environment, safety and
social responsibility considering the 2030 agenda and the 5 R ´s;
3) Know and understand the methodologies and techniques of sustainability with case studies applied throughout the
product's life cycle (development; production, distribution, use and end of life);
4) Know and apply the tools and methodologies capable of quantifying and guaranteeing the characteristics
associated with sustainability from an economic, environmental point of view; socio-cultural and its impacts;
5) be able to apply knowledge in fashion design product development, considering the entire product life cycle,
certifications and legislation in force in the context of the company, brand and the Fashion System.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria Presentation of theoretical and practical contents related to the introduction of general concepts of content and
examples applied to the ITV Industry and Fashion System. Sustainability practice and techniques: theoretical and
practical exercises. Conducting research in a group of successful cases in industry and market accompanied by study
visits; using market databases (WGSN); (b-on) and thematic magazines and newspapers (national and international)
available online. Application exercises in the quantification of sustainable practices (Higg Index, EcoMetrics, among
others). Conducting continuous evaluation exercises and practical theoretical work
