At the end of this CU, students should be able to: - Reflect on educational phenomena, mobilising diverse epistemological frames; - To problematise current educational themes and translating them into research problems; - Build an open and critical framework of reference that supports the individual research project.

Syllabus |
The syllabus contents are organized around the two lines of research structuring the cycle of studies and bringing together the interests of the professors involved. These lines contain subtopics that can be addressed alone or in relation within the sessions.
1. ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT OF TEACHING AND LEARNING PROCESSES: Educational Communities; Cognition, Emotion and Learning; Development in diverse Educational Settings; Teaching and Learning Methodologies; Curriculum Design and Development; ICT and Education.
2. TEACHERS TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT Teachers Training and Teaching Professionalism;Teachers Training and Social Justice; Educational Supervision and Guidance.

Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria |
Theoretical and empirical research related to the syllabus topics will be presented by the faculty and other academics. The evaluation of the UC will be based on a brief review of the literature, made individually, within one of the topics covered and having as horizon the orientation to the problem to be developed by the student in her PhD project.
