Learning outcomes The aim of this course unit is for the students to:
1. Learn the principles of narrativity
2. Identify, understand and discuss film narrative in its formal and thematic multiplicity
3. Identify and understand the specificity of film narrative At the end of the course unit, the student must be able to understand the specificity of film narrative, against other narrativa types (literary, dramatic, and so on); to understand the difference between fictional and documentary narrative; to identify autorship and genre convention in film narrative; to understand the fundamentals and creative procedures of film narrative: types of shots, acting, editting, off screen and among others; to analyse and judge a film work according to its narrative construction.
