Learning outcomes |
The aim of this course unit is for the students to: 1. learn the theoretical principles of narrative 2. identify, understand and discuss the film narrative conventions 3. learn the specificity of film writing, both technically and formally 4. develop narrative creativity and discipline
At the end of the course unit, the student must be able to understand and write the texts needed in the screenwriting process, namely a synopsis, a character study and a short film screenplay; to understand and master the various phases and kinds of texts; to explain orally the creative process of its own work and to show its artistic value; to critically analyze a film narrative showing the combination between writing and the other tasks: production, directing, cinematography, editing, sound.
