Learning outcomes |
1. Understand the specific parameters and characteristics of musical language. 2. Understand the principles and the role of sound in the context of film music. 3. Promote film musical analysis. 4. Develop the skills and techniques in the creative use of music in the film.
At the end of the course unit students should be able to recognize, classify and relate the main structural elements of listening to music: melody, harmony, meter, timbre and dynamics.
Must be able to make the counterpoint between musical idea and formal idea (language) and visual idea.
Must be able to analyze the use of film music in terms of concept, aesthetics, function and meaning.
Must be able to plan and organize music and sound discourse in audiovisual image.
Must be able to manipulate, adapt and insert music and sound discourse creatively in audiovisual image by digital technology resources.
