Learning outcomes It is intended that students gain knowledge related to the field of microprocessor systems
Analyse the operation of combinational and sequential circuits
Understand the operation of microcontrollers and microprocessors
Study the operation of various peripheral

The student should be able to:
- Understand the operation of a microprocessor system
- Designing a system that can be applied in their area of expertise
- Identify the features available and adapt them to solve problems
- Build and analyse combinational logic systems
- Build and analyse sequential logic systems
- Have ability to use the development tools
- Include the peripheral studied to solve problems
- Implement interfaces for communication between devices
- Take advantage of low-power technologies
Syllabus I. Introduction: introduction to the logical systems; binary codes; boole algebra; logical circuits technologies; logical Interfaces.
II. Combinational circuits: explanation, simplification and materialization of combinational logical functions.
III. Sequential circuits: Analysis and syntheses of synchronous and asynchronous sequential circuits.
IV. Microprocessors vs microcontrollers: Von Newman vs Harvard architecture; RISC vs CISC machines, interruptions and operation mode.
V. Microcontrollers programing: development emviroments (IDE) and assembly basic concepts.
