Profile of the programme
|
The 1st cycle in Multimedia Design offers a comprehensive training in the artistic, cultural, scientific and technological fields. Prepares students for the professional practice in the broad spectrum of visual design, communication and interaction in various media, both analog and digital. Relying on the conceptual theoretical and critical tradition of design and in the primacy of the project, stimulates the aesthetic sensitivity and the ability of expression, with a progressive focus on creativity and innovation, but also in research and contemporary artistic creation. Along with the knowledge of the tradition of Design, this course of study designed to prepare students for exercising the project in situations of increasing complexity, with special focus on multimediatic context, encouraging teamwork and the development of multidisciplinary research skills to, through and over the design, contribute to the progressive autonomy of students. |

The course has modern laboratory facilities: Cyber-center; Workshop Audiovisual and Multimedia (internet, scanner, printers, CD-ROM, networks, producing and editing digital and analog video), Photo Lab, Studio TV and Film , Internal Circuit TV, Computer Center. It also benefits from proximity to the Central Library and Newspaper Library, the Graphic Services and the Center for Informatics and exhibition galleries of the Museum and Wool Dyeing. |
