Learning outcomes	1) Reconize Arts research as a process of knowledge production. 2) Identify the "creative process" as a fundamental theme of arts research. 3) Understand and debate the "creativity of the process" of arts research through the film about art/artists.
Syllabus	1. Introduction: Research on, for, and in the arts. Artistic research VS artistic creation. Institutional context of research in the arts. 2. The creative process: the act of creation. From genetic criticism to process criticism. Research paradigms. Abductive thinking. 3. The creativity of the process: writing an essay based on a film about art/artists.
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria	Written essay – individual work: 50% Attendance at follow-up sessions and in-class presentation: 50% Access to the exam is unrestricted and consists of a written test with consultation allowed.
