Learning outcomes Analyze the influence of new technologies and digital media on contemporary culture, based on authors such as McLuhan, Virilio, and Manovich.
Explore the impact of image and digital media on society, focusing on concepts by Deleuze, Guattari, and Parente.
Study the evolution of Apple technology and its cultural impact, addressing case studies such as Tim Cook, the iPhone, and the cult of Mac.
Discuss the future of technology and Artificial Intelligence, based on authors such as Kissinger, Schmidt, and Lukács.
To ensure the material for the semester is clear and structured, the program’s subtopics are associated with specific authors.

• A Thousand Plateaus (Deleuze, Guattari)
• The Language of New Media (Manovich)
• Understanding Media: The Extensions of Man (McLuhan)
• The Cyberworld (Virilio)
• High Teknê (Rutsky)
• The Information Society (Hassan)
Teaching Methodologies and Assessment Criteria
Considering the theoretical specifics of the curricular unit:

• 1 written test and 1 group work in 10 pages are taking place (50% + 50%). MARCH 21 and JUNE 6

• The students may only skip 20% of classes.

• Every student with grade between 6 and 9.5 will attend exam.
