Objectivos de Aprendizagem:
The course unit aims to develop competencies for applying the knowledge acquired throughout the study cycle in an organisational context through the completion of an internship and the preparation of a scientific report. The internship promotes the integration of theory and practice, as well as the development of technical, analytical, and professional skills in the fields of Finance and Accounting.
Upon completion of the course unit, students should be able to identify and analyse organisational problems, relate professional practice to the scientific literature, conduct critical literature reviews, collect and analyse relevant information, apply knowledge to problem-solving, critically evaluate organisational practices, prepare a structured scientific report, communicate and defend the results achieved, and develop autonomy, professional ethics, and lifelong learning skills.
Conteúdos programáticos:
Module I. Organisational Context and Internship Planning
Characterisation of the host organisation, definition of objectives and activity plan, identification of the research problem, and contextualisation of the professional intervention.
Module II. Literature Review and Theoretical Framework
Search and critical analysis of the scientific literature, formulation of the research question, and development of the conceptual framework.
Module III. Internship Development
Integration within the organisation, implementation of planned activities, application of Finance and Accounting knowledge, and collection of relevant information.
Module IV. Critical Analysis of the Professional Experience
Description of activities performed, critical analysis of organisational practices, discussion of results, and integration of theory and practice.
Module V. Preparation and Defence of the Report
Structuring the report according to scientific standards, preparation of conclusions and recommendations.
Metodologias de Ensino e Critérios de Avaliação:
Assessment is based on the evaluation of the internship report and its public defence, according to the criteria approved by the Programme Scientific Committee. Criterion A. Structure and Formal Aspects (15%) • Clarity of writing; • Quality of argumentation; • Appropriate use of citations; • Coherence and organisation of the text. Criterion B. Theoretical Framework (30%) • Timeliness and relevance of the topic; • Literature review; • Adequacy of the theoretical framework. Criterion C. Methodology, Results and Conclusions (35%) • Formulation of the research problem and objectives; • Methodological adequacy; • Collection and analysis of information; • Critical discussion of results. Criterion D. Presentation and Public Defence (10%) • Quality of the presentation; • Ability to synthesise information; • Responses to questions raised by the examination panel. Criterion E. Scientific Visibility and Dissemination (10%) • Participation in scientific or technical events;
