Rafaela Norogrando

Rafaela Norogrando, Ph.D. in Design and Master in Social and Cultural Anthropology, was Director of the BA in Fashion Design for three years and teaches in BA, MA, and Ph.D. programs in Design, Fashion, Architecture, and Video Game Design. She has been a guest teacher at four institutions and integrates scientific committees of journals like dObra[s], ModaPalavra and The Design Journal. As a researcher at CIAUD-UBI, linked to LabCom and ID+, she studies exhibition design, museums, heritage, identity, and fashion as a social phenomenon. She organized the book Moda, Música e Sentimento. In 2023-24, she led the first Portuguese team at EuroFabrique. As a designer, she has work in the National Costume Museum (PT) and excelled in the Brazilian footwear industry, training designers and collaborating with Campana Brothers, Zaha Hadid, and Vivienne Westwood. A product of hers won two Mattel awards: Best Product and Best Sale.
